Postal & EMS tracking

Many international postal references contain two service letters, eight serial digits, one check digit and two country letters. EE123456785IN is an illustrative example. Keep the entire reference, including both pairs of letters; the digits alone are not the full postal tracking number.

The S10 country suffix identifies the country under whose authority the number was issued. It does not reliably establish where the item physically started, and it is not a destination code. Our tracker uses supported suffixes as a routing clue, not as a map of the shipment journey.

An international item can move from the dispatching postal service to the destination operator. If the sender’s record stops after export, check whether the receiving postal operator accepts the same reference. Different systems can show different scans. The current directory lists the postal services supported here; not every worldwide postal operator is included.

USPS also uses long numeric references, and postal operators can have their own domestic formats. If no service is detected, select the operator shown on the receipt. A valid S10 check digit only checks the identifier’s arithmetic; it does not mean the article has been accepted, delivered or cleared by customs.
